With a discernible increase in instances involving juveniles during the previous ten years, juvenile delinquency is becoming a growing concern in India. A number of intricately interacting socioeconomic issues, including as poverty, illiteracy, and the dissolution of conventional family units, are responsible for this tendency. The problem is made worse by the fast urbanization of society as well as exposure to harmful media and peer pressure. Furthermore, despite advances, the juvenile justice system still has difficulties delivering rehabilitation and effectively addressing the underlying issues. In order to stop this developing issue, this abstract examines the causes, current patterns, and consequences of rising juvenile delinquency in India. It places special emphasis on the necessity for comprehensive policy responses and community-based interventions. India's rising juvenile delinquency rate is a cause for concern due to socioeconomic issues, urbanization, and outside influences. To solve this issue, it is imperative to adopt community-based interventions and strengthen the juvenile justice system.
